Singaraja - Lovina Tour
Tour enroute: Denpasar - Bedugul – Singaraja – Lovina - Pupuan - Denpasar
This trip will show you a marvelous expedition into the northern highlands of Bali. All the way up to a peaceful village, high in the mountains, past vanilla and cengkeh (clove) plantations; there are splendid views to be enjoyed on surrounding rice terrace and endless rows of palm trees.
Visit Candi Kuning fruit and flower market with its exotic wild orchids, roses and even strawberries!
Next stop at the peaceful lake Bratan, amidst a setting of volcanic mountains located 850 m above sea level, which features an eighteen-golf course, waterskiing and views that have an almost mystical quality. This resort is popular as an escape from the heat of the lowland. Here you see the mystical Ulun Danu Temple dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of Water.
Continue to the north and enjoy a spectacular surrounding view of lakes, well – kept gardens, wild flowers and wooded mountainsides. Stop for a walk through jungle to see Gitgit Waterfall before going on to the town of Singaraja, on the north coast of Bali.
En route along the coast of Lovina is a fabulous black sand beach. A stop at a local restaurant will be made for lunch.
The return trip takes you along a different and little used road via Pupuan, through coffee plantations and spectacularly terraced rice fields.
