This motor-coach tour gives you a terrific glimpse of Bali inland beauty as you cover some of the island’s prime spots. Travel from palm-fringed shores to towering volcanoes, encompassing a cross-section of the entire west portion. First attending a gracious Barong Dance in Batubulan, then proceeding to the woodcarving center of Mas village, where you can discover wonderful master wood carvers producing the finest works of arts in various kind of wood’

Next stop is to visit the mysterious Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave), which dates back to the 11th century. A whole rock face has been chiseled into a baroque frieze of fantastic plants and animals; the cave itself forms the gaping mouth of, mad-eyed demon, which was mistaken for the eponymous elephant. This strange monument was probably a hermitage for eleventh century priests. Your route takes you further island through terraced rice fields and up into the mountains, where the vegetation changes from small rice and vegetable plots to bamboo forests, clove and citrus fruit tress.

On arrival at Kintamani, you will enjoy the breathtaking view over the volcano and the lake of Batur, with ribbons of black lava running down from its peak in the valley below while having lunch. The crater is holy and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to fertility goddess. Next to Mt. Batur, Lake Batur shimmers like a sheet of blue glass - a wonderful photographic opportunity.

The route back to your hotel takes you to one Bali’s holy springs. There you will stop at Pura Tirta Empul in Tampaksiring, the Shrine of the Holy Spring, an example of true traditional temple architecture on Bali. The water is holy without having to consecrate and has magic curative powers and people journey from all over Bali to purify themselves in the bathing pools.

Your last stop is Ubud, the artistic heart of Bali boasts the island premiere local and European painters and galleries. An additional stop can be made at Celuk, famous for its gold and silver works.
