Tours enroute : Country site journey – rice terracing – Luhur Temple – Bedugul
The drive has to be the main roads as far as Tabanan past Denpasar then you embark on the quieter, small roads and tracks towards the Mount Batukaru volcano. You will pass small village communities, the Balinese going about their daily work, and lush tropical vegetation with a variety of spices, fruit and vegetables growing along the roadsides. Luhur Temple, nestled in forest at the foot of the mountain, is one of the most peaceful and mystical temples in Bali. The whole area around Jatiluwih village is perched on the slope of Mount Batukaru. Literally Jatiluwih means “truly marvelous”. It is Bali’s paradise for it is very noted with its lush green rice terraces far from the madding crowd. No wonder that this area is called the rice belt of Bali.
